Eliminar "Mis sitios bluetooth" del escritorio

Option 1 (per-user)

This method only hides the My Bluetooth Places icon from the current user’s desktop, e.g., the user logged in when the changes are made. If you need to remove the icon from all users’ desktops, now and for all future users, please read Option 2 instead.

What you will need

  1. Tweak UI (distributed with the Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP)

How to use Tweak UI

  1. Login as the user that needs to have the My Bluetooth Places desktop icon hidden.
  2. Run Tweak UI.
  3. Navigate to Desktop. Note: This step refers to Tweak UI, not Windows.
  4. You should see a list of desktop icons on the right side. Uncheck My Bluetooth Places.
  5. Click OK or Apply to see the icon disappear from the current user’s desktop.

Option 2 (system-wide)

What you will need

  1. Administrator privileges
  2. Windows Registry Editor (regedit.exe)

How to remove the “My Bluetooth Places” desktop icon

  1. Login as an administrator.
  2. Open the Registry Editor (Windows Key + R; Run “regedit.exe”).
  3. Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
    Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
  4. Expand NameSpace and look for a key named {6af09ec9-b429-11d4-a1fb-0090960218cb}. Verify the key’s default value is My Bluetooth Places, and then delete it. Note: You may want to backup this key before deleting it.
  5. Refresh the desktop (Click on the desktop, Press F5).

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace

Una vez que lleguemos ahí nos tiene que aparecer la siguiente clave {FC9FB64A-1EB2-4CCF-AF5E-1A497A9B5C2D}
